Meet Your Teacher!
My name is Lisa Beckwith. This is my twenty-first year teaching with Shelby County Schools. I am highly qualified and have a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from the University of Memphis. I also have a Master of Education as well as an Educational Specialist Degree in Administration from Union University. I achieved my National Board Certification in 2012. I have been a Common Core Coach for the State Department of Tennessee in both math and reading as well as a teacher lead for Shelby County Schools.
I am married to Kyle Beckwith and I have two daughters, Kailysia (18) and Kaila (17). My oldest daughter graduated from White Station H.S. and will attend Austin Peay University in the fall. My youngest daughter is a senior at White Station who plays volleyball. I am a member of Living Purpose Christian Church where I sing on the praise team. My hobbies include watching T.V. and spending time with my family.
My job is to serve your family as best I can. With that in mind, my goal, is that by the end of the year your child will have grown academically, emotionally, and socially. I have very high expectations for all of my students and I know that every student will succeed. However, I know that success can't take place without your involvement. I welcome each of you to get to know me as I get to know you and your child: through notes, phone calls, or even personal visits. If ever you have a question, problem, or concern, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm here to partner with you in giving your child the foundation he/she needs for a successful future.
I look forward to a very prosperous year!
